It's has brought so much pleasure to be part of the training journey with so many people and their wonderful dogs. We are truly passionate about making sure that dogs live their best lives, learning how to live and thrive in our human world with all of its complexities. Andrea has transformed my communication with my dog and has helped my confidence with being responsible for training my dog. Even after only one session I made huge advances in understanding my dogs breed, behaviour and what my dog needed from me. Andrea is friendly and provides wonderful notes and videos on what she teaches in the sessions which are invaluable and I refer to them often. I am so grateful to her and Thinking Dogs.
Andrea has been extremely patient with both Toby and I . We have picked up some bad habits through Tobys first 3 years. He is a gorgeous Goldie with a mind of his own. Andrea is teaching us really practical skills and we are both learning what his potential is. Sessions are fun in a purpose built and safe environment. All learning is supported by a full report of progress, video clips to master the new skills and homework to practice at home. We have used trainers before but this approach gives me a far better understanding of why the techniques work and it is focuses on positive reinforcement and getting Toby to work it out. There is absolutely no harsh punishment or negative approach techniques. So if you have a pooch as a pup or even older Andrea can help teach you to have the best relationship with your best friend. We are really looking forward to the future with Toby. Thankyou Andrea for sharing your expertise with us.
I cannot recommend Andrea highly enough; from my first consultation with her on the phone to the end of our initial 4 sessions (we’re going back for many more!!!). She truly understood what we needed to learn as owners and what our dog needed to learn to get us where wanted to be with him. It is all done at safe and secure premises (with the promise of further enhancements to come!) with training spaces both indoors and out. Every session is followed up (normally later the same day!) by an email describing the session we’d just had, what she had noticed about improvements and where work was needed and any “homework” training exercises to do.. Not to mention the training videos sent via WhatsApp. Just brilliant. Andrea obviously cares about you and your dog and wants the best for both. She adjusts her training to suit you and gets results, we are just so happy with the positive changes we’ve seen in our dog and everything we have learnt from our sessions and the follow up materials. Oh, and it helps that Andrea is lovely too.. Don’t hesitate to make the call!! We are so glad we did..
Andrea is amazingly good! We have learnt so much in two sessions with her and so has Bailey. Andrea has explained loads to us and everything works - her ideas are really clever but simple and she shows you how to do everything. I cannot recommend her enough - in summary Andrea is incredibly good - thank you so much for your help so far.
We are first time puppy owners and soon found ourselves rather overwhelmed and out of our depth with our clever, lively cockapoo Todd. Finding Andrea has made such a difference. She is skilled with people as well as dogs! Our work with her has helped our relationship with Todd to flourish and address all kinds of issues such as finding the right groomer to helping us understand his development. Having her support and expertise continues to transform our experience with him. We highly recommend Thinking Dogs.
We were so glad we found Andrea when we did, having just got a new puppy for the first time in twenty years! Andrea was amazing, always on the end of the phone giving us advice and this was all before we'd even started the one to one training. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Her knowledge and experience is second to done! She follows up with comprehensive notes and videos to help you remember what she has taught which ŵe found invaluable. We have just finished our initial 4 week training and have booked to continue. We are so grateful to her for all her help and look forward to more training with Chester.
